[ABOUT THE DESIGN]: Our "Raised on Arabic Love Songs" design is an ode to the countless car rides, Saturday morning cleaning and family gatherings where our parents would pop in their favorite cassette, refusing to push forward the four minute intro of crowds cheering, as instruments began to play and before a single note was sung. Little did we know they were teaching us the meaning of Tarab. They were cultivating our obsessions and deeply rooted love for our music, with every powerful word and moving melody.

Tarab is a profound, unique, and "untranslatable" Arabic term for musical enchantment, describing a state of emotional rapture or heightened consciousness induced by live, high-quality music or poetry. It represents a deep, often communal connection between performer and audience, evoking intense feelings like joy, nostalgia and longing.

On the front, the word Tarab is printed in Arabic. The back features printed portraits of three of Arabic music’s greatest legends: Umm Kulthum, Fairuz, and Abdel Halim- artists whose voices defined an era and embodied the essence of Tarab. Just below them appears the phrase: "المزيكا بتطرب القلب قبل الودان" with its English translation- "music that moves the heart before the ear."
