[READY TO SHIP] EMBROIDERED FORTY LESS ONE CREWNECKS.

ABOUT THE DESIGN: The Bible does not directly indicate how many lashes Jesus received before His crucifixion but scholars refer to two scriptures that shed light on the possible number.

The first is Deuteronomy 25:3 which explicitly states that a criminal should not receive more than forty lashes. To avoid possibly breaking this command, only 39 lashes were permitted.

The second is the Apostle Paul's mention in 2 Corinthians 11:24 that he himself had been beaten five times from the Jews and received from them forty lashes less one.

Our original design includes the number 39 in Arabic with the English text “forty less one” written across it. This designs functions as a reminder of the suffering Jesus endured.
